Phil's “"Back to Basic" -
"Learn to draw anything"
I have teamed up with "Stiched up and Fleeced Studio" to occasionally offer a short series of lessons (One a week for 5 to 7 weeks) on basic drawing skills.
The lessons are "teacher lead", and are intended for complete beginners, but could also be of interest to improvers who wish to revisit the basic drawing methods.
Although drawing to produce a realistic image can be daunting for a beginner being taught how to see, measure and record is the key to success.
The idea is NOT to go home with a drawing that you can frame, but to go home with the knowledge of how to draw something you could frame (or at least take a step in that direction).
A block of 5 lessons costs £75, which includes drinks (tea etc.), all materials and use of studio equipment. A class of 7 lessons would be £105
Classes 2 hours long and are limited to a maximum of 10 students.
Lessons on drawing on the iPad
I am also contemplating offering leesons on using the iPad for art work.
I use the app. "Art Studio" and the newer version "Art Studio Pro" (examples on my "Digital Page") and so I am most familiar with these programs.
Therefore the lessons would be based on these apps, although the techniques are transferable to most "serious" art apps.
The lessons would be either "one to one" or a maximum group of three or four.
Classes would be held at my home (Ecclesall)
Cost = £15 for a two hour lesson.
